Why is this important?
Major corporations are lying about the safety of genetically modified foods and refusing to label their products. The result is that our right to know and to decide what we will and will not eat has been hijacked by greedy corporations. Our health has been sacrificed for their profit. This is a gross violation of human rights and must not be allowed to continue. Virtually all other countries have already either banned genetically modified foods or required labeling. Why should we fall behind?
