The U. S. government deficit is driven by a dysfunctional system of special interests financing of political campaigns. Social Security provides needed support for senior citizens that worked all their lives to support the program. A downgrade to social security benefits, as now being proposed, is unfair and terribly egregious. A possible positive affect of the proposal could be to curtail re-election of incumbent politicians supported by special interest. Please support of Social Security and curtail re-elcetiion of special interest incombent policians.
