Defy the Republican bullies and nominate Susan Rice for Secretary of State.
We demand that President Obama nominate Susan Rice for Secretary of State and stand up to the bullies who try to control the White House with their extremist and unfounded attacks. If we don't stand up to bullies, nothing will stop them from pushing through their extremist positions.
Why is this important?
Susan Rice, after being the focus of unfounded attacks from Republicans for her reporting of the intelligence community's assessment of the Benghazi attack, has withdrawn her name for consideration for being nominated to the position of Secretary of State. If the President caves on Susan Rice, a brilliant candidate with unparalleled credentials, he will forever be subjected to bullies who try to control this country. He should not let a woman and a person of color with such an outstanding service record, be made a target of extremist without defying the bullies. He should stand up for Susan Rice and fight for her through the entire confirmation process.
