Delay transmission of impeachment articles to Senate

Senators McConnell and Graham must be disqualified or recused from serving as jurors before the Senate initiates the impeachment trial

Why is this important?

Although an Impeachment Trial is not the same as a courtroom trial, there is nevertheless a sine qua non for both, namely that prospective jurors may serve if and only if they are absolutely impartial at the trial’s outset, and take a solemn oath to that effect.
Senators McConnell and Graham and possibly other prospective jurors,  have openly taken the position that initiation of the impeachment was a partisan vendetta for which there was no justification;  therefore, they are  not bound by constitutional or legal precedent, are trashing the rule of impartiality, and intend to make a mockery of the trial by colluding with Trump and forcing an immediate "acquittal" without due process. And if they serve as jurors, this is exactly what will happen. Trump is accused of having  committed untold numbers of "high crimes and misdemeanors" since he took office, and has accordingly been impeached pursuant to the fundamental constitutional principle of congressional oversight.  However, he has a stranglehold on the Republican party which will do ANYTHING to prevent the exercise of the congressional checks and balances that have led  to his impeachment. On the one hand, If Trump and his Republican cronies succeed in making a mockery of this trial, the stage will be set for the destruction of our constitutional democracy and the establishment of an autocratic dictatorship. On the other hand, if he is acquitted or convicted by a fair and impartial jury, after full due process, then the constitutional principles will have been served and our democracy will survive.
