Advocate for Safeplace wants to come train our PD FREE on the proper treatment of victim/ survivors. Have heard that the Sgt. has victimized several disadvantaged women in the area.He actually said, as he stepped towards me threateningly, slamming hand into palm (battery) "YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CHOSE TO MARRY THAT MAN!" Like saying a rape survivor "asked for it" cause of her clothes. He needs to go.
Why is this important?
When I approached the Sgt. about getting assistance to protect me from my husband who had assaulted, tortured and was stalking me the officer offered me money and a place to live, citing a "personal interest" in me. He then refused to enforce my protective order when I called to report my husband HUNTING me. I was told I was "crying wolf".
