Governor Brownback should be ashamed of himself for trying to scapegoat the poor on public assistance with his bill to restrict spending on luxury items. The "HOPE act" is identical to shameful scare tactics blaming "welfare queens" for hardship in our economy. Repeal this bill and target the true contributors to income inequality: Corporations!
Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because I refuse to fall for the scare tactics of the wealthiest 1% in our society attempting to turn people in the 99% against each other. This offensive attempt to distract us from the obscene degree of income inequality and wealth concentration is shameful!
