Descendants of Slaves vs Florida Board of Education
We, the descendants of American Slaves, seek to file a class action lawsuit against the state of Florida and the Florida department of education to outlaw the proposed doctrine that unequivocally corrodes our history and lies to a generation of youth who are already confused and mislead.
Why is this important?
Florida is proposing to introduce curriculum that corrodes historic truths of slavery regarding the treatment and savagery of white slave owners during slavery. Law makers want to replace the truth with delusional rhetoric that states “slavery benefited black people”. Censoring and insinuating that slavery was a benefit to anyone other than those that profited is wrong, harmful, disrespectful and should not be permitted. This same principle, if applied to Holocaust descendants, would be considered antisemitic. We, the descendants of American Slaves, seek the same justice and demand that this teaching be outlawed.
