Require businesses to designate a specific area to pump or breastfeed in the workplace. This space needs to be a room with a lock and contain a desk/table, chair, electrical outlet, and a sink with hot water to rinse/wash breast pump parts.
Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because I feel our society already makes it difficult for moms to breastfeed and work. I have personally been affected by this issue since there is not a specific place (that is consistent, and I know will always be available) for me to pump at work. Breastfeeding is the most beneficial form of nutrition for a baby, and I feel all companies should support working mothers by providing an adequate and consistent location to pump.
