This petition is a call for the State of Maine to pull pension funds out of fossil fuels and re-invest in youth and clean energy initiatives. By signing this petition you are asking our State Representatives to commit to reinvesting state funds in education and clean energy projects.
Why is this important?
The Sunrise Movement of Maine is made up of youth leaders from across the state who are taking an active role in fighting for better support of Climate Change initiatives in order to support a better future for all of us.
If we don't take action now, the damage we have done to our climate will be irreversible and marginalized communities will be the first to feel the impacts to our ability to survive and thrive!
