please do not base social security oncreases on the CPI...in effect it will lower benefits that are already at a minimum...I have contributed to this fund all of 40 years of my career and do not feel it is an entitlement program at all and it should not be changed for those of us who in good faith tried to prepare for retirement...SS is only an entitlement program to immigrants who come to this country , do not contribute and then have everything handed to them on a silver plate.
Why is this important?
My social security benefits not been increased in a while...the medical expenses have increased as the coverage has decreased and therefore the out of pocket also increases each year...last year I had $17,000 of out of pocket expenses
