Don't Mess With Texas Women: Help Defeat Governor Perry’s Anti-Women’s Health Legislation
Women don’t turn to politicians for advice about mammograms, pre-natal care or cancer treatments: and Texas women feel strongly that politicians should not be involved in personal medical decisions about their pregnancies.
Yet at the Governor’s urging, the Texas Legislature is once again trying to interfere with a woman’s most personal and private decisions. Some politicians are trying to pass laws that would take the decision about abortion away from a woman and her family by shutting down women’s health centers, banning abortion at a point in pregnancy when a woman might learn about serious medical complications, and much more.
Tell your legislator that you’ve had enough! Urge your elected representative to vote no on any measure that blocks access to women’s health services. Tell your legislator: DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS WOMEN.

Why is this important?
Senate bills 25, 97 and 537 are each designed to take private health care decisions away from a woman and her doctor. I am urging you to vote against ALL of these bills and any bill that withholds health care from Texas women.
