These men, women, and children have endured witnessing deaths of their neighbors, friends, and familie. Called enemies by the Assad goverment, by ISIS, by foreign countries, they have been persecuted, executed, drowned, and still these casualties of war fight to live so they can raise their families and live in peace.
Why is this important?
Syrians should not be forced to die by violence, for lack of shelter, or because we believe we are not called to extend mercy and care. We are called, and we must listen.
