Tell our President Obama, our Senators, and our Representatives to STOP messing with OUR Social Security benefits!
Congress is planning to cut Social Security benefits. It is the working people's money that we earned and sent to the governent to keep, protect, invest,and to pay us benefits at retirement. The gov't borrowed money from our fund and has never paid us back. When we borrow money, we MUST pay it back with interest. It is NOT money for the President and Congress to cut. It is ours; we earned it! PAY BACK WHAT YOU BORROWED WITH INTEREST. The problem will be partially solved.
Why is this important?
Reducing Social Security benefits will reduce the money for our groceries, medications, health needs, and costs of daily living. We have limited income. It is difficult to stretch our budget without the income we have saved and count to have available for expenses. Our benefits are a large part of our monthly income.
