Electoral College must be Repealed

Democrats have won the popular vote in 6 of 7 of the last Presidential elections but because they lost the archaic electoral college, a throwback to slavery, in two of those contests they only served 4 of the 7 terms.

What's even more galling is since the popular vote doesn't count in a presidential election, the candidates don't have to be on the ballot in every state.

How would you feel if there were a Presidential election but one of the main candidates wasn't on your ballot. With the Electoral College it's not only possible but it's possible for a candidate to win the Presidency while being on the ballot in as few as 11 highly populated states or 40 less populated states. That's why the Electoral College should be repealed.

However, since Electoral College is in the Constitution it likely will take an amendment to repeal it. Or it's possible state governments can do something to nullify it.

Why is this important?

This petition advocates the repeal or nullification of the electoral college, which is the reason Democrats lost the 2000 and 2016 election despite having 3.5 million more votes.
