Eliminate LIPA
Allow NYPA (New York Power Authority) to assume all of the electric supply and transmission in areas served by LIPA (Long Island Power Authority). Eliminate duplication of services and bring in lower cost power from upstate.
Why is this important?
We are seeing the ineptitude of LIPA's management here on Long Island in the aftermath of Sandy. Bring a strong organization in to reduce our costs and better communicate with us. This should be the first step in rebuilding long Island's power grid. We ask the Governor to take bold action.
