End the 30 Billion in US Aid to Israel
Dear Congress and President Obama:
As we lead up to the International Day of Democracy on September 15, we, American taxpayers ask you to end the 30 billion in military aid allotted to Israel from 2009 to 2018. We oppose the use of our tax dollars to fund Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory. The occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip is illegal, dangerous to both Israelis and Palestinians, and undemocratic.
At a time when the American economy has reached a breaking point, when American schools are struggling, when our cities are strapped for revenues, we are outraged that the US would continue to fund ongoing violence and human rights abuses toward Palestinians. This money should be spent to revitalize communities, create jobs, and provide after-school programs in American public schools. With this money, we could have lowered our national debt. Instead, the US Government has prioritized Israel's destructive military ambitions above the needs of the American people.
We ask that the US end this 30 billion in aid as it is harmful to the well-being of Americans, Israelis, and Palestinians and is a roadblock to true democracy in the Middle East.

Why is this important?
"No Taxation for Israeli Occupation."
American taxpayers call for an end to the 30 billion in aid to Israel allotted for 2009-2018. We oppose the use of our tax dollars to fund an apartheid state that denies Palestinians their human and civil rights.
