The contribution ceiling is an unfair tax break for all earners over $119,000. It puts the entire burden of funding SS and Medicare on people making under $119,000.
Why is this important?
When I was a high earner I learned that after I made $119,000. I didn't have to make any more payments to SS and Medicare. Why did I get that benefit when I was earning so much more and could afford my share. Now that we need more SS revenue, this entitlement should be eliminated.
