We should include the exorbitant retirement pay, and medical benefits, of our elected officials, in any conversation about entitlements also. There should be some parity in the reductions, and age, in which politicians receive their benefits also.Their tax payer funded retirement benefits are just as big of a liability on our economy as Social Security and Medicare. Why is the retirement program of the poor and middle class the only one we refer to as an entitlement? I petition to have the retirement program of our elected officials reduced commensurate to that of Social Security and medicare.
