EPA Allows Wildlife-killing Cyanide Bombs

The Trump administration just said it was OK to use cyanide bombs to kill wildlife. Known as M-44s, these small metal cylinders are full of cyanide and covered in a sweet scent to attract wildlife. With a little tug, a deadly dose of poison shoots out, sending the victim into a slow, agonizing death. And the EPA just gave the green light to keep M-44s out in the wild to inhumanely and indiscriminately kill thousands of animals.

Why is this important?

Last year M-44s killed more than 6,000 animals, including coyotes and foxes, a bear, opossums, raccoons and skunks. M-44s are one of the most barbaric methods in the government's war on wildlife — and Trump's EPA has again refused to ban it.

Help us protect wildlife from these killing devices by signing the petition to get them banned.

Trump's EPA has shirked its duty to protect wildlife, people and pets.
In August the EPA issued an interim decision renewing sodium cyanide registration. A week later it withdrew that interim decision for more discussions.

Even though more than 99.9% of people commenting on the proposal asked the EPA to ban M-44s, the agency decided to keep cyanide bombs in its arsenal.

If we're going to stop this madness, we'll need to redouble our efforts.
With your help, we can put a stop to the use of cyanide traps once and for all.

Please stand up against M-44s by signing our petition.
