Expanding Medicaid in Nebraska will not only help me but many working citizens across the state of Nebraska. It will also keep critical care hospitals in Rural Nebraska open. I was born in one of these critical care hospitals, and without these hospitals open in Western Nebraska where the land is vast, many people live more than 20 miles from the nearest town and sometimes more than 50 miles from the nearest hospital. It is very important that people can get emergency care quickly, as quickly as possible. But without Medicaid expansion, many of these critical care hospitals will have to cut services, or even worse close all together
