Extend the "Violence against women" act

By the end of high school, 68% of young women have faced sexual harrassment, abuse, or assault. We need to improve our society's behavior toward women, and we need to increase safety. This act was put in place to try to move toward that goal. It should be extended, not allowed to lapse.

Why is this important?

Rape and assault leave lifetime traumatic scars. Women remain anxious and fearful, and often unable to get past the emotional devastation. We need to change this. Please help us push to extend the "prevention of violence against women" act, and work to enhance the safety of all women and young people at risk for rape, assault, and domestic violence.
