Extend TPS for Haitians

More than 58,000 Haitians are now in the US with Temporary Protected Status. The Department of Homeland Security must extend this status to preserve lives. James McCament, the Acting Director of USCIS, wrote a memo recommending not extending TPS. He says conditions have improved since the earthquake. While that may be true, the conditions are not at a level to support all of these people and their family members who have been receiving remittances from these hard working immigrants. Don't let more people starve when you can instead let people work and help themselves.

Why is this important?

This is a serious target to hard working immigrants. I have worked with many in the Haitian community over many years.
