The city gave trash hauler Waste Management a monopoly in our area, and in most cases they doubled our sanitation costs. We need to be free of Distance fees and Access fees or free to hire the companies of our choice.
Why is this important?
The fees are so outrageous landlords are leaving dumpsters ON THE STREET in front of their buildings to avoid paying them. It is unconscionable to charge the fees Waste Management is charging. Since when can the city tell us which vendors we can hire for services? Why are they letting them rob us blind?
