On Nov. 1, if the ongoing budget battle isn't resolved, the Department of Veterans Affairs won’t be able to send out benefits checks to nearly 5.2 million veterans and family members.
As a fully Disabled Veterans I know first hand what a nightmare this is to live in the fear and uncertainty. Can I pay my mortgage? Buy food? Get Medical Care? Refill my Prescriptions? Saying "Thank you for your service" won't help me with any of these things. It's time to take action.
