Georgia Governor's Commission on Caribbean Affairs
The State of Georgia is blessed to have a vibrant Caribbean community that is thriving, growing and helping to move the state forward every day.
Caribbean Americans’ important contributions to social and political issues in the State of Georgia have also positively affected the lives of all citizens across this great state.
Since 1619, millions of Caribbean nationals have called the United States of America home including one of the "Founding Fathers," Alexander Hamilton who was born on the island of Nevis.
We are petitioning Governor Nathan Deal to establish a Governor's Commission on Caribbean Affairs.

Why is this important?
The Petition is about establishing a Governor's Commission on Caribbean Affairs to focus on the specific needs of Caribbean Americans in the State of Georgia. The focus will be on community development issues and serve as advisors on all issues relating to the Caribbean community.
