Give Kenderick Lamar an Honorary Tuskegee University Degree

Kenderick Lamar is a great example of Tuskegee University's legacy. In his own words, he says that if it wasn't for his own English Teacher (a Tuskegee Grad) he may have not taken an interest in English. He says this teacher challenged him and helped him have an appreciation for words.

This indirect connection to the University reminds me f graduates from the Rosenwald schools. It was because of Tuskegee's mission not only to train educators and teach them, but to educate and motivate others, Kenderick Lamar is a shinning example of Tuskegee ultimate mission. Seeing he has gotten a Pulitzer exemplifies the importance of Tuskegees mission.

Why is this important?

It uplifts and promotes the importance of the arts and education. It also would be a symbol of how a Tuskegee Grad impacted the life of a student from Compton who became a Grammy award & Pulitzer winner.
