Stop racial profiling in our schools. We demand quality education for all children.
Why is this important?
Recently, Alabama 2020, an education initiative, was passed. This initiative officially expects white children to be smarter than children of color. As reported by the Daily Caller, "For example, 91.5 percent of white third-graders should be proficient in mathematics, whereas only 85.5 percent of Hispanic students and 79 percent of black students will be expected to pass, according to the Tuscaloosa News." Our State Superintendent, Tommy Bice, is in agreement with this and sees nothing wrong with this racial profiling! In essence, children of color are not prepared or expected to go to college. Please sign the petition demanding quality education for all children.
