Governor Corbett: Restore General Assistance that was cut in the Budget

Restore the cuts in General Assistance for the very needy in our State

Why is this important?

I have a friend whose family member is struggling to overcome a substance abuse habit and is in a recovery program. The funding received is General Assistance which is a tempory funding stream. Corbett's budget cuts this lifeline for these struggling people yet gives a 1.6 billion tax credit to Royal Dutch Shell, the 2nd largest company in the world. This family member will be out on the streets along with many others. Tell Governor Corbett and lawmakers to restore General Assistance.
