Our goal is to get Franklin’s name memorialized on the new Greenway Pedestrian Bridge over Western Avenue, which is located right over the spot on which he died.
Why is this important?
Franklin Brown (14) on May 24, 2013, attempted to cross Western Avenue and was struck and killed by a large moving van. Our community would love to see the new Greenway Pedestrian Bridge over Western Avenue memorialized in Franklin’s name in the hopes of persuading other children and adults to take the extra time to use the overpass safely and not try to beat traffic crossing the 5-lane road.
