Hair Salons & Barber Shops/Soft Opening May 1st
Most salons and barbershops in New Jersey operate with a small staff of 6 or less. Please allow licensed beauty and barber professionals to privately perform services, one client at a time. One client, per stylist/barber in the establishment at one time starting May 1, 2020.
All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of New Jersey and the local Board of Health will be followed. Our industry needs to be recognized and redeemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time while both professionals and patrons, wearing masks & gloves poses little to no risk of spreading the virus as compared to 50 or more people in a grocery store or 10 or more people picking up food to go at a local restaurant.

Why is this important?
The survival of the independent beauty and barber professionals are at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship.
