Hair Salons/One Client at a time/Soft Opening April 27th

Allow all hair salons to have a soft re-opening date of April 27, 2020 for them to perform personal services one client at a time. All PPE must be worn (masks/gloves) as required during all services performed, clients must have appointment only, and visit the salon alone and not bring others with them during their appointment. If a client does not have a mask on, one will be provided for them or no services will be performed.

Why is this important?

Hair stylists’ income and stability are drastically being effected by the Covid-19 virus and stay at home orders. In addition, hair salons have been deemed non-essential so all of them have had to close there doors. If grocery stores, retail stores, are allowed to remain open with social distancing guidelines and PPE being worn, it seems only fair and the right thing to do for hair salons to do the same thing. Many salons will be completely bankrupt if they continue to remain closed for anytime longer and many people’s lives will be completely destroyed (financially) if we don’t get them back to work, even on a limited basis, very soon.
