Hairstylists, Barbers, Estheticians and Nail technicians are Essential

The purpose of this petition is to request that Ventura county allowed licensed Hairstylists, Barbers, Estheticians, and Nail Technicians to return to work and to be recognized as an essential business. To allow us to perform a beauty service one client at a time starting May 29, 2020.

We will all commit to follow all necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of California and local Public Health Department. We will proceed to wear masks, gloves and sanitize our chairs, tables, and stations after every client. Also we will require that all clients must wear their mask and have hand sanitizer handy. Take clients temperature before they come in to the establishment and turn away clients who have had any type of symptoms.

By following the above, the risk of spreading the virus is not more than people at a dine in restaurant, at a bar or that of 20+ people present in a grocery store. Our industry is an essential business in the community and it also helps with morale during this pandemic.

Allow us to go back to work and get us off unemployment.

Why is this important?

Allow us to return to work to earn a living and be able to pay our mortgage, bills. Get unemployment numbers down and let us return to work ASAP.
