To: Rep. Jared Huffman (CA-2)

Hands Off Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid Benefits!

Rep. Huffman: Please commit to protecting these vital programs from benefit cuts. Sign the Grayson-Takano letter now.

Why is this important?

Cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits would impact the most vulnerable among us. Let's stand up for seniors, veterans, the disabled, and future generations of Americans, and protect these hard-earned benefits -- instead of continued tax breaks for billionaires and Wall Street.

It’s not enough to voice opposition to such cuts. We want Representative Huffman to sign the Grayson-Takano letter, making a firm commitment to vote against any cuts. The letter reads, in part, "We write to let you know that we will vote against any and every cut to Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security benefits."

We ask Rep. Huffman to join the 28 members of Congress who have signed the letter: Brown, Cartwright, Castor, Clay, Conyers, D. Davis, DeFazio, Ellison, Faleomavaega, Grayson, G. Green, Grijalva, Gutierrez, A. Hastings, Honda, Kaptur, Lee, Lynch, C. Maloney, Markey, McGovern, Nadler, Napolitano, Nolan, Serrano, Takano, Velazquez, and Waters.
