We, the undersigned, request that the mayor of Hartford, Luke Bronin, and the superintendent of Hartford Public Schools, Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez, support the Hartford Board of Education and school-based leaders in the hiring of more teachers of color. It is imperative that teachers at Hartford Public Schools more accurately and proportionately represent the population of students that the school system serves.
