Health care is a human right

Quality health care is a basic human right, not a privilege for those who can afford it. Every person deserves the human dignity of professional medical care.

Why is this important?

The GOP controlled Congress is currently debating repealing the Affordable Care Act with no plans to keep coverage for the 30 million people currently enrolled in the program.

It is morally reprehensible to cut off access to lifesaving treatments and leave working families to fend for themselves. The Republicans in Congress are pursuing a vendetta against the ACA even though the majority of Americans do not want it repealed.

Congress should look out for ordinary Americans and protect our care. Do not repeal the ACA.
