The Inter-American Commission and Court on Human Rights, the OAS, the United Nations, and the U.S. Government must condemn the Dominican Republic for denaturalizing hundreds of thousands of its citizens of Haitian descent. This racially-motivated act that leaves that country's ethnic minority stateless must not be allowed to stand.
Why is this important?
The Dominican Republic has denaturalized its citizens of Haitian ancestry in violation of its own constitution and human rights norms. We must stand up for the powerless victims in this case.
