HOLD TRUMP ACCOUNTABLE FOR SEX ABUSE CLAIMS

As high profile men in media and in government are being held publicly accountable for sexual misconduct, the President's own history of sexual misconduct must not be excused, minimized, or ignored. We demand that the President of the U.S. be held to the highest standards of ethics, and that he be held accountable to the American public for his actions.

Why is this important?

The current President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been accused of sexual assault and sexual harassment by at least fifteen or more women since the 1980s, resulting in three widely-reported instances of litigation. Two of the allegations became public before his candidacy for President, and others surfaced after release of the Access Hollywood tape that revealed him bragging how a celebrity like himself "can do anything" to women, including "just start kissing them ... I don't even wait" and "grab 'em by the pussy". Trump has publicly excused and denied those claims. He was also accused of going into the dressing rooms of Miss Universe contestants in 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2006, as owner of the franchise. During a 2005 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Trump admitted that he could "get away with things like that" at the pageants.
Trump's statements and behaviors are an unacceptable violation of American public values, and render him unworthy of public office.
