Danni Askini, a transgender activist from Seattle, Washington, is stuck in international limbo. The US State Department will not issue her a new passport to re-enter the US, and she is stranded in Sweden currently. ICE has made it clear they intend to arrest her upon her return. We are respectfully asking you, Honorable Mike Pompeo, to intercede on her behalf so she can come back home.
Why is this important?
My goal is to help Danni Askini to safely return to the US, without being detained in a men's prison. She is a US citizen, and has supplied proof to the US State Department, who for whatever reason does not accept her proof, all because she transitioned at a young age.
