Housing For Homeless
In the richest country on earth there should not be people who have to live on the streets but we should as a government provide the necessary resources to combat homelessness by providing Housing. It would cost $13,000 dollars to create housing while the status quo would cost $30,000. We should do all we can to help people get off the streets and not throw them in jail.
Why is this important?
Across this country there have been laws passed in cities and legislatures outlawing aggressive panhandling and introducing urban camping laws. We shouldn't be throwing people in jail because they have no home or are poor. We should help them get off the streets not making it worse for them.
