Humane Wolf Management
Use dogs to protect domestic livestock instead of killing wolves. Historically dogs have proven to be very effective in this capacity. They are currently proving to be effective in Africa so farmers there are no longer killing endangered big cats who would otherwise prey on their herds and flocks.
Why is this important?
It is upsetting to hear of wolves being killed when there is a humane solution that could easily be implemented. Shelter dogs could be trained to do this work which would result in additional animal lives being saved. The backpacking, hiking and camping that I have done throughout my life have instilled a devotion to the preservation of the wildlife that was here long before we were that need to be preserved into the future.
