USA indifference to painful realities in Mexico must end !
In Mexico, tens of thousands of people have been killed , displaced and are missing since Plan Merida began. The Merida Initiative is the USA's gift to modern Mexican history, and a President G.W. Bush foreign policy continued by President Obama. Plan Merida was activated with the help of Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
We demand President Obama and USA Congress investigate any and all correlation between Plan Merida and the death , loss, and displacement of the tens of thousands of Mexicans in Mexico.
We demand Human Rights training for all participants in Plan Merida.
We demand the replacement of USA ambassador to Mexico, Anthony Wayne, who has demonstrated insensitivity to painful realities in Mexico.
We demand a strong ATF or other USA government agency to police illegal gun traffic from USA into Mexico.
We demand that PEACE, JUSTICE, AND DIGNITY for the Mexican people and not a war on drugs be the focus of USA foreign policy.
