Did you know that when a woman is raped, and she is brave enough to endure getting a rape kit done, even if she as an adult, or the minor's parent(s) state that they want the kit tested, most of the time it's not done. Rape kits are horribly invasive and nobody would have one done unless they were a victim of rape. Not only that, but the detectives investigate the VICTIMS not the perpetrators.
Why is this important?
Someone very close to me was violently raped and because the perpetrator got an attorney, he wasn't investigated at all. The rape kit is just sitting there, untested, and we are left picking up the pieces. I've spoken to many victims of rape who have been treated like they were the ones who were guilty while the perpetrators were treated with respect. I thought those days were over! Shame on Idaho and the Boise Police Department. These women want and need JUSTICE.
