Increase Campus Protection of Women
Women attending Colorado universities face real and present dangers on campus. Not much has changed to reduce threats over the past twenty years. It's time something be done. Measures need to be taken and supported to improve their protection from assualt.
Why is this important?
Young women attending Colorado's institutes of higher education are particularly vulnerable to assault including rape. The legislation regarding on-campus CCW bans has brought stark and scary light to this situation. I attended CU Boulder where this issue was a sizeable concern and risk for women. One generation later, as my own daughter prepares to attend college, I don't see any appreciable changes to made women safer on campus.
