Induct Billy Martin Into the Hall of Fame

Billy Martin is beloved by many and leaves behind a tremendous baseball legacy as player and manager. He is considered by some of his peers as the greatest field General of all time. Billy took the Yankees to the World Series twice in '76 and "77 winning it all in '77. He took four losing teams and made them winners. in the '80s he made the front cover of Time Magazine for resurrecting the Oakland A's by taking them to the Playoffs and giving birth to Billy Ball. Throughout the 80s Billy won a ton of games with the Yankees before his tragic death in '89.

Why is this important?

I feel it is important to induct Billy Martin into the Baseball Hall of Fame as manager based on his on the field accomplishments. I started up a Billy Martin fan page and the group feels that Billy's off the field problems are keeping him out of the Hall. It would be a travesty if this true since Billy was the proudest Yankee to wear the pinstripes and respected the game of baseball like no other.
