Jared Kushner, a former White House foreign policy advisor, had a strong pro-Saudi bias in his decisions. He ignored Saudi Arabia's violations of human rights in Yemen, its killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi (who worked for The Wall Street Journal), and its repression of political opponents at home.
After leaving the White House in 2021 and launching his investment firm, he received a $2 billion dollar investment from Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. This apparent quid-pro-quo demands investigation by the US House Oversight Committee.
