IRS Unemployment Tax Refund Unresponsive misinformation

The IRS has been misleading and not forthcoming with the status of unemployment tax refunds. Announcements From the IRS about unemployment tax refunds they posted in July are still ones repeated since May on social outlets such as Twitter. They are unresponsive in requests for dates of batches— they dishonestly claimed were sent. The IRS stated shortly after the New tax law passed, that they would begin providing unemployment tax refunds starting in May. By May 30 they began to distribute these tax refunds and deposits the first week of June. They stated they deposited over two million. Since then it has been radio silent. Crickets. There has not been another batch of deposits; however, the IRS has claimed that the second batch would be deposited in Mid June. This did not happen. As of July 1, there has been no second batch sent. The IRS has not informed claimants of these changes with the batch deposit dates, and has been less than transparent or responsive in questions regarding when we may see deposits, what is included in a non-complicated versus complicated batch, for example when will a head of household with dependents would receive a refund, and for literally months taxpayers have been waiting for their tax refund without any information and only miss information provided by the IRS. We demand to know a schedule that is reliable about when said so batch deposit will be made. Stating that they will be made and then not making them without announcing that is unacceptable . It is vital to the financial well-being of people who have been on unemployment to be able to plan financially during this time. This is insensitive and unacceptable to say the least. We also would like specific dates and information about which batches will be deposited w dates that will be honored. It is the start of July and only one batch has been deposited and the end of summer is entirely too vague.
