It's time to fight back against on-campus assaults!

We urge you to allocate funds for Sens. Gillibrand and McCaskill to combat college sexual assaults and strengthen Clery Act, Title IX and VAWA protections for survivors.

Why is this important?

“The price of a college education should not include a 1 in 5 chance of being sexually assaulted."

Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Claire McCaskill are tired of colleges ignoring sexual assault, flouting survivor protection laws, and blaming victims for their rape.

They have a plan to enforce the Clery Act, which requires colleges to disclose assaults on and off-campus, bolster Title IX protections that provide staff for survivors, and expand the Violence Against Women Act to better protect students.

But they need appropriations subcommittee chairman Sen. Tom Harkin to sign on for the money needed for the Department of Education and Office of Civil Rights to get it done — and if we don't speak up, college assaults will continue to be an everyday horror ignored by millions.
Will you call on the chairman to put an end to college sexual assaults?
