Do Not Cut Social Security
While cost of living continues to increase on all Americans, especially the elderly who live on a fixed income, how are they expected to live out their golden years? Are we to choose between helping my mother--my children’s grandmother--live comfortably or save for my own retirement and children's college fund? We should be increasing Social Security benefits for both moral and practical reasons. It is simply wrong to allow elderly people to drown in the name of future financial problems.
President Obama this is not the change we kept you in the White House for. Withdraw your proposal to cut Social Security benefits. Many Americans who voted for you almost totally rely on Social Security payments as their only formal means of income.

Why is this important?

We should be increasing Social Security benefits for both moral and practical reasons. It is simply wrong to allow elderly people to drown in the name of future financial problems.
