Stalking affects 3.4 million people in the United States each year and often leads to more dangerous crimes. Twenty-one percent (21%) of victims are physically attacked by the stalker, with 46% of victims reporting their biggest fear comes from not knowing what will happen next. Stalking always leaves its victims feeling terrified, frustrated, isolated, depressed and vulnerable.
Why is this important?
I've been the victim of stalking for the last 4 years and still today. Law enforcement has told me that he has to physically do something to me for them to really doing any more beside take my police reports. The fact I haven't been in a relationship with him limits what legally can be done. Stalking doesn't seem to be of importance here in Texas but for me my life and those around me are suffering everyday. so please send this letter to Texas government and help get this law identified in Texas
