Keep Families Together Act S. 3036
The border practice of ripping immigrant families apart is traumatizing to children. Senate Bill S.3036 seeks to limit the separation of families. Keep Families Together Act (S.3036)states, "An agency may not remove a child from a parent or legal guardian solely for the policy goal of deterring individuals from migrating to the United States or for the policy goal of promoting compliance with civil immigration laws.” The bill also has exception which include if a state or county child welfare agency, or the Chief Patrol Agent or Area Port Director determines separation is in the best interest for the safety of the child, such as in cases of human trafficking or abuse. The seeks to implement practices that are in the best interest of the child.
Please support Senate Bill S.3036 to end this cruelty to children.
Please support Senate Bill S.3036 to end this cruelty to children.
Why is this important?
Undocumented parents, who are attempting to cross the border or have crossed the border, does not justify inflicting cruelty to children by separating them from their parent or guardian.
